    Accessibility Statement

    WCAG 2.1 AA Goal — Updated July 20, 2026 • Dickson County

We help families protect what love left behind. That includes making our site usable for everyone, including those using assistive tech.

    1. Commitment

Andrea B. Denney Studios aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). We design for high contrast, keyboard operability, screen reader support, and reduced motion respect. Because our founder lives with chronic pain 8-9, Fibromyalgia, POTS, ADHD, we prioritize legibility over aesthetic translucence.

    2. Measures We Have Taken (July 2026 Fixes)

    • Skip to content: Every public page now has link to #main-content, and main has id="main-content" tabindex -1 — including privacy, terms, disclaimer, etc.
    • Contrast: Bumped text-white/40 to white/70 minimum, white/60 to white/80 where critical, ensuring 4.5:1 for body and 3:1 for large. Focus rings now white with offset.
    • Keyboard: Navbar logo now button with role, not div with onClick only; 44px min touch targets on footer social, nav, newsletter, refund links, cookie controls.
    • Iframes: Music page Spotify iframes now include title attributes.
    • Alt text: Webinar deck empty alts replaced with descriptive; all public images now unique real alt (e.g., Andrea B. Denney voice preservation artist in dark studio holding heirloom audio keepsake") — no duplicates.
    • Motion: Added prefers-reduced-motion media query wrapper reducing to 0.01ms for users who request reduced motion, supporting POTS and vestibular safety.
    • Forms: Footer newsletter includes sr-only label, autocomplete email, honeypot, 48px height.
    • Headings: Blog posts now single H1; legal pages each have one H1.

    3. Known Limitations & Roadmap

Third-party embeds (EveryExpert badge script) may inject inaccessible markup we cannot fully control but we contain within div with min-height. Some archived blog images pre-2025 may have legacy alt that we are updating batch-wise. If you encounter barrier, email us and we provide alternative (e.g., PDF guide as accessible Word, voice files transcribed, checklist via phone).

    4. Compatibility

Tested with Chrome + NVDA, Safari + VoiceOver, keyboard-only navigation, 200% zoom. We support meaningful sequence without CSS, visible focus, skip link, and logical heading order.

    5. Feedback & Alternative Access

If you experience barrier, please contact:

    • Email: hello@andreabdenneystudios.com (mention “Accessibility Help”)
    • Phone: (629) 250-2045 Mon-Fri
    • Mail: Andrea B. Denney Studios, Dickson County, Dickson, TN 37055

We respond within 3 business days with workaround and remediation timeline. For legal concerns, same contact. We do not discriminate based on disability.

    6. Standards & Date

WCAG 2.1 Level AA, prepared Feb 2026 initial, updated July 20, 2026 after full site walk for lawsuit prevention (accessibility issues and link breaks verified). Third-party tool: we use manual axe checks plus screen reader walk — not just automated scanner, because emotion pages need human review.
